Gareth Bale is a football player playing for the Tottenham Hotspur at the Barclays Premier League. He is a 22-year-old midfielder born on July 16, 1989. He stands 6’0” and weights more or less 74 kg, which is just perfect body and weight requirement to professionally play the sport.

Gareth BaleBale was able to make his professional playing debut for Southampton when he was just 16 years old. Different clubs due to his team’s championship game against Millwall quickly scouted him in April 2006. After the game, there were a lot of speculations that he was destined to play for the Spurs, and as one of the hottest prospects in his time, he was signed up by Tottenham for a £10 million appearance related fee deal in May 2007.

As one of the most promising young players of his time, he actually enjoyed an excellent season, which jumpstarted with goals against Arsenal, Middlesbrough, and Fulham. However, he was unsuccessful in getting any win while he was running on the pitch. He went on 24 games for the club without a single victory. In the end, his injured foot greatly affected his debut and was limited to a ridiculously low 12 appearances for the 2007-2008 season.

Adding insult to a literal injury, he was required to have a knee surgery in 2009. Like all legends, however, he was able to make a comeback when he returned in September. His attacking role as a part of the left wing made him a key figure in the league as his team qualified for the Champions’ League for the first time in history. He was able to experience his first win by being a starter against Fulham after breaking his duck at a match against Burnley.

Considered by many as a protégé, Bale is currently the youngest international that Wales has ever produced as he played for them in a match against Trinidad and Tobago just before he turned 17, breaking the 3 month record of Lewin Nyatanga. Furthermore, he is his country’s youngest person to ever be a scorer, as he was able to do it in a match against Slovakia in October 2006.

Bale’s strongest suit is his bold attempts of going forwards in order to deliver goal scoring kicks. He is amazingly good in delivering a great cross while running, and is a master of the free kick. However, he pales in comparison to other team members in the area of defense, and is now predominantly limited in the left wing. Despite these challenges, though, most football enthusiasts believe that there is no better left sided player that exists in the league today. In fact, a lot of people joke that if Gareth Bale was English, he would have been in the World cup by now. While there is always an argument against the current hype, he is celebrated for breaking his loss curse after 24 games, which most people say an impossible feat to make if he was not dedicated to the sport as he is portrayed to be.
