Hans Sarpei: A Brief Biography

Hans Sarpei is an international fullback on two different football teams. In Europe, he plays for the Bundesliga side of Schalke 04. In addition, he is also an integral part of the African country Ghana’s national foot ball team. He was born on the 28th of June in the year 1976. Because Hans Sarpei has been playing football since he was a very young child, he has spent over three decades playing this game.

Hans SarpeiHe was born to a family in Ghana, and he spent much of his youth playing football with his older brother Edward. Edward who taught Sarpei much of what he knows also became a professional football player. Formerly, Edward played for Bundesliga on the Koln team, and he now plays on the BP Worringen team. When the two boys were children, they moved from Ghana to Germany with their family as they held German passports.

After living in Germany for several years, Hans Sarpei began playing on their club circuit. First, he played for VfL Wolfsburg from 2001 to 2007. During that seven year period, he made over 130 appearances. At the end of his final season, his contract was not renewed. He then moved to Bayer Leverkusen. He stayed with them until 2009, and at that time, he moved to his current German team.

While he played with these German teams, he also had a concurrent international career. He has played as a fullback for the Ghana national team since the year 2000. During that time, he has played in many important games. In 2006, he played with them in the World Cup game. In 2010, he played with them during the 2010 FIFA World Cup game. He also made appearances during two other national games as well. These were the 2006 African Cup of Nations and the 2010 African Cup of Nations.

During his thirty five year existence, Hans Sarpei has played a lot of football. He has played in important games with both his German and Ghanaian teams, and his loyal fans are always eager to see what he will do and accomplish next.
