Samuel Eto’o: Cameroon Player And International Star

Samuel Eto’o is a soccer player from Cameroon who currently plays on the Russian team Anzhi Makhachkala. He is a striker on the Russian team, and on the Cameroon national team, he is the captain. He was born on March 10th 1981, and he trained at the Kadji Sports Academy. Over the course of his career, he has earned numerous titles and awards.

His fans loved him for his unique playing style, and in 2003, he earned even more fan support by donating 30,000 Euros to help feed fans who had traveled from Mallorca to Copa del Rey for the 2003 final game. That game was won 3 to 0, and Samuel Eto’o scored two goals at the end of the game to secure the victory for his team.

Samuel Eto’o left Mallorca’s team as the highest domestic scorer with 54 goals. He signed up to play with FC Barcelona, and he stayed with that team for the years 2004 to 2007. When he moved from Mallorca to Barcelona, there was a transfer fee of 24 million Euros. During his five seasons with FC Barcelona, he scored over one hundred goals, and he became the African player to make the highest number of appearances in La Liga games. However, during that time, he was also scrutinized for some of his behavior both on and off the field. Several of his comments drew criticism from fans and officials.

After finishing his time with FC Barcelona, Samuel Eto’o transferred to Milano Internazionale. After a few successful seasons with them, he transferred to the Russian Team Anzhi Makhachkala on August 23, 2011. He signed a three year deal that involved a net salary of about 20 million Euros per year. This figure promises to make him the world’s top played soccer player.

He has distinguished himself on the world soccer scene by holding a number of records. He is the only player to have won two Continental Trebles. He won one with Barcelona in 2009 and the second with Inter in 2010. Only one other player besides Samuel Eto’o has ever scored in two different UEFA Champions League finals. He is one of only four players on the world stage to have won UEFA finals two years in a row.

Samuel Eto’o has also distinguished himself as the captain of the Cameroon national team. They won the Olympic tournament in 2001. He played in three World Cups with them, and they played in six African Nations Cups. The Cameroon team twice won the African Nations Cup. Samuel Eto’o was the top scorer in the African Nations Cup games with a total of eighteen goals.
