A Brief Guide To Thiago Silva’s Career

The professional football player Thiago Emliano da Silva was born on the 22 September 1984 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is more commonly known under the name Thiago Silva. Silva currently plays the position of a center back for the team Milan under the Italian Serie A. He holds the number 33 for the said team.

During his younger years, Thiago Silva trained under Brazil’s Fluminense Football Club. The Fluminense is one of the top five producers of soccer players for the country’s national team. However, Silva’s first professional break was with Rio Grande do Sul’s RS Futebol team in 2003. Approximately a year later, Silva was transferred to Serie D’s Juventude. It was in 2004 when Silva made his first playing debut with the team.

Thiago Silva Before ending up with Serie A’s Milan, Silva also played for Portugal’s Porto Team, Russia’s Dynamo Moscow and Brazil’s Fluminense. Over the years, Thiago Silva has played various positions including full-back, midfielder and right winger. In 2009, he also played with Brazil’s U23, winning a Bronze medal while playing for the team.

Thiago Silva formally joined Milan in December 2008 for €10 million. He made his first appearance with the team in January 2009, playing in a friendly match against the Hannover team. However, his name was not included in the team’s official roster until July 2009.

Silva has improved significantly since playing for Milan. He is currently known as being one of the best defensive players in Serie A, playing alongside Alessandro Nesta. Their varying attributes complement each other, with Silva providing the speed needed to chase down strikers.

On the offensive end, Thiago Silva has made four goals for Milan from 2009 to 2012. His first goal was made in November of 2009 while playing against Lazio. Silva’s second goal was made in Milan’s first game against Lecce in 2010. This effort helped Milan win the team’s first division title in seven years. Silva’s defense played a major role in the win, picking up a single yellow card while playing for a total of 39 games for the duration of the season.

In May 2011, Thiago Silva extended his contract with Milan until June 2016. He plans to stay with the same team and play until 2020. In November 2011, Silva was appointed captain of the same team. During his first game as the captain, Silva scored the first goal. This resulted in a 4-0 win against the Chievo team.

Although Thiago Silva has been injured numerous times since 2010, these injuries have done little to stop his game. His most serious injury was in the hip area, causing him to miss almost seven weeks. Other minor injuries since 2010 include a broken nose, ankle injuries and a bruised shin.

Since playing for Milan, Thiago Silva has also been nominated and won many awards. He was nominated as one of UEFA’s Team of the Year for 2011 and the only representative from an Italian team. Silva has also been nominated as the best defender for the Oscar del Calcio awards. In Brazil, Silva won the Samba Gold Award for 2011.
